How We Choose to Be Happy by Rick Foster and Greg Hicks (a bit self-helpy, but a good reminder of how our attitudes shape our world)
You Shall Know Our Velocity by Dave Eggers (he's my hero-highly recommended)
Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann (highly recommended, especially if you're a Phillippe Petit fan)
The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver (Wow, she's so good. And perfect themes for my sabbatical-Mexico and communism)
Demasiados Heroes by Laura Restrepo (not as good as Delirio, but recommended, all the same)
Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer (only extremely recommended if you're willing to seriously consider vegetarianism)
